The Somerset Rural Renaissance Scheme is overseen by a partnership of agencies and is administered by Somerset County Council as the accountable body.

Since April 2005, some 71 contracts had been entered into with different projects and all the partners were thanked for their efforts and endeavour in helping to deliver the innovative and creative projects to help develop the rural economy in Somerset over the 4 years The lessons learnt from the Rural Renaissance Scheme will hopefully now be taken on by the three Local Action for Rural Communities Schemes that are due to cover parts of Somerset from Spring 2009.
