PROJECT SUMMARY
To convert a redundant dairy and milking parlour into a business unit with disabled access and disabled toilet facilities.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
This project takes place on an active Dairy Farm, which milks in excess of 200 cows.
Coexisting with this enterprise are small scale business units which were developed a few years ago and are home to a thriving set of businesses.
Due to the expansion of the Dairy Herd a new dairy and milking shed have been created leaving the former buildings redundant. To help maintain he economic viability of the farm business with a further income stream it was decided to convert these buildings into a business unit.
It is expected that the units will provide workspace for at least 6 full time posts. Additional employment will be created for two part-time cleaning and maintenance posts. The project should generate an increase in business for local shops and create local employment.
